Air Soldier Products ION QEV Kit

From the Web site:

Our new QEV (Quick Exhaust Valve) kit for the ION increases the gun's cycle speed by venting air right at the port rather than having to route the air back to the solenoid for venting the exhaust. Requires no cutting of the body for installation - it's entirely a 'drop in' mod.

Comments

The Clippard MEV-2 is the heart of this QEV kit.  The MEV-2 is one of the most compact QEV's on the market, little bit more compact than the Pneumadyne/PPS units.  Pre-attached is a quick disconnect.  This will allow you to easily assemble and disassemble your Ion.

Installation

Installation instructions are provided on the back of the packaging.

  1. Remove the grip frame from the gun body as per the instruction manual.
  2. Unscrew the front banjo fitting from the body (the one right next to the eye connector).
  3. Pull the banjo fitting off the 1/8" OD tubing (push the fittings gray end cap while pulling out the tubing).
  4. Spin the QEV assembly into the front port of the body (where the banjo fitting has been).  Do not overtighten - just make sure that the sealing o-ring is slightly compressed and that the silver quick disconnect fitting points to the rear of the gun.
  5. Trim off 1/4" of the 1/8" OD tubing (as the new QEV assembly sticks out further than the banjo fitting had)
  6. Insert the end of the 1/8" OD tubing into the silver fitting on the QEV assembly.
  7. Reassemble, gas up, check for leaks, and go play.

Conclusion

This is a great drop in QEV Kit that provides you all the parts you need at a great price.
