Check It Impulse Sure Fit Feed Neck - No Rise

From the Web site:

You've spent $1000 on your marker, $250 on your air system and $130 on your loader and you're using duct tape? Shaving and sanding are tasks of the past with this feed neck. Don't skimp on the necessities and secure your loader to your marker the right way. Why cost your team the game when your loader falls off when you can be sure?

Make sure that loader fits and it fits tight. Will fit VL Revolution, VL Evolution, VL Evolution 2, all Ricochets, and even the Halo B Loaders without shaving the loader neck or extra work. No more loose loaders moving around with this part.

This review is going to be different than any of my past reviews.  Normally I compare the aftermarket product to the equivalent stock part.  In this case I am going to review the Check It Sure Fit No Rise and compare it to the New DeSignz No Rise.

Time for a change to the Check It Sure Fit.

I had no problems with the New DeSignz no Rise that was installed on my Impulse.  I loved it in comparison to the Stock Adrenalin feed tube.  But as they say, change is good.  And on top of that, I like to review products so I needed to try something different.

The Check It Sure Fit is just a tad bit taller than the New DeSignz No Rise.  The New DeSignz No Rise is about 1.5 inches in height while the Check It Sure Fit is about 1 9/16 of an inch, so nothing noticeable.

The Check It sure fit was also a brilliant Red that complemented the anodizing on my Adrenalin Impulse very well.

The New DeSignz No Rise is manufactured precisely to fit an un-sanded HALO.  The Check It Sure Fit makes that claim, but for me it was not true.  My HALO would not fit at all.  To make sure it wasn't just my HALO, I tried someone else's un-sanded HALO and theirs did not fit either.  I was disappointed at this because now I would have to sand my HALO to make it fit, which in turn meant I could not go back to the New DeSigns No Rise.  NOTE: After posting this review, I have received feedback from many people and found that most do not have this problem, but at the same time I am not alone, some did have an issue.

The only problem I every really had with the New DeSignz No Rise is not a fault of the product, but a problem with my budget.  Like most, I can not afford two HALO's so I have a single HALO and then an old Revy (actually a couple) as backups.  I even have an Evolution II that I need to get back from a teammate.  While I never personally experienced this, if I did have a problem with my HALO, I would have to switch to another loader.  The other loader would not fit so nicely into the ND No Rise and I would have to use a fair amount of electrical tape to make it fit.  Again, this never happened to me, but it could have.  The big benefit of the Check It Sure Fit is that it is a clamping feed tube so you can lock it down to hold anything from a wide necked HALO or Evolution to a narrow neck of a standard Revolution.  This is important to a tournament player that need to be prepared for potential equipment failures.

How does it work?

Once your loader is in position, use a 5/32 allen key (not included) and tighten down the screw on the top of the feed neck.  I would not recommend over tightening this screw as you really just want to hold the loader, not crush it.

Installation:

This is so easy I'm almost embarrassed to write it down.
  1. Depending on if you want to keep your current feed tube or not, either carefully or not so carefully remove the existing feed tube.  The careful way is to take your time, the not so careful way usually involves a pair of pliers and a very short amount of time.
  2. Apply red or blue loc-tite to the threads of the Check It No Rise
  3. Carefully (no choices here) thread the Check It feed tube into your Impulse body.  DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN or you will cause yourself some expensive problems.
  4. Do yourself a favor, let your Impulse sit for several hours so the loc-tite can cure and get nice and hard.
  5. The End!
