New DeSignz "No Rise" From the Web site: We put the low in our lo rize. The lowest one you can find (Halo version). What's this mean? It brings your hopper much lower to make you and your marker less of a target. Ideal for all players. The top row is for universal hoppers or VL Revolutions while the bottom row fits only the Halo force feed system.
*We recommend using a low rise on vision Impulses. May be used on non-Vision Impulse but some users may experience ball chopping. *Available in Universal & Halo. Red, Black, Green, Purple, Blue & Silver.
Having recently slid into a bunker and damaged my EVO II beyond repair (details for another day), I decided it was time to see what all this HALO hoopla was all about, so I purchased a Smoke HALO B with the latest software and RIP kit from my friends at Professional Paintball in Rochester, NY. If interested you can find them on the web at www.4freeflow.com I threw some batteries in the HALO, slapped it on my AI and let her rip. OK, that's not exactly what happened. Actually what happened is that when I tried to put the HALO into the AI feed tube, it wouldn't fit, at all. So now what to do? I remembered when I bought my EVO II I had to spend almost an hour sanding it to perfection so that it fit in the AI's feed tube, without being too loose or too tight. Time for a new feed tube! What's the difference in feed tubes?? Not even dealing with the width, about 1.5 inches in height, or lack there of. My Adrenalin had the stock Adrenalin feed tube which is 2 7/16 inches tall. The problem is, with the HALO being a force feed loader, the shorter the feed tube the better. So, I did the only logical thing a person in my shoes could do, I purchased a New DeSignz "No Rise" made specifically for the HALO. The No Rise is only 1 1/4 inches tall. Before I even installed the No Rise I was impressed that the New DeSignz Red did not look that bad compared to the red in my Adrenalin Impulse. After installing it, I think it looks damn good. The milling on the ND No Rise is actually similar to the original AI feed tube and is complimentary to the AI's milling. Let's try it again. This time I really slapped the HALO on to my AI with ND No Rise and it fit. Absolutely no sanding of the HALO's feed neck was needed AND I did not need any electrical tape or anything else to secure the HALO into the feed tube, it fit like a glove. And then... After the loc-tite dried, I went to the field and let her rip. I tried it both with Vision on and Vision off and there was just no stopping the strings of paint I was throwing at people. Now for the real test....the slide.... Yeah it's pretty, yeah you can shoot fast with it when standing all comfy and cozy in a large standup bunker. The real test is to take one of those crazy dives into a bunker and not have your very expensive HALO go flying in one direction while you and your marker are working on shooting people in another direction. As I stated before, my ND No Rise fit my HALO like a glove. Three games in a row I ran to the 40 on the break and slid into my bunker. Each time I slid a little more aggressively although not intentionally. My first slide was a simple on the knees slide (the grass was wet from rain the night before) and I had no problems. Next time I did a baseball slide (they were trying to sweet spot me). My third slide was a sorta fish flop. You see three times was not a charm and I was gogged about 2 feet before I started to slide and my momentum was too much for me to stop. This was not intentional, and the slide was not pretty but the HALO stayed on. As far as the Wolverine Testing labs are concerned, the New DeSignz No Rise worked perfectly with my HALO. Pictured below is my Lifesaver Adrenalin Impulse with New DeSignz "No Rise"
Installation: This is so easy I'm almost embarrassed to write it down.
UPDATE: All current Smart Parts markers use the same threads for feed tubes, so the New DeSignz Low Rise and No Rise will fit on the Impulse, SFT Shocker and Nerve. The New DeSignz No Rise will not fit on an Ion because of the Ions outer body. The New DeSigns Low Rise will fit without any issues. The Details
