New DeSignz Clamping "No Rise" From the Web site:
Quest for the perfect No Rise In my quest to find the PERFECT no rise for my Impulse I believe I have now found it. When the journey began I started with an Adrenalin Impulse with the Adrenalin Low Rise. This combined with a sanded Evolution II was a good, but not great combination. When the EVO II died beyond repair, I decided it was time for a HALO. As everyone knows (or at least should know) the HALO being a force feed loader works best with an extremely small ball stack, the smaller the better. So my first stop was the New DeSignz No Rise (click for review). The NDZ No Rise was a great product, nearly perfect until I had to switch to my backup Revolution due to dead HALO batteries. While the HALO fit like a dream, the Revy did not fit so tight. I had a couple problems with the Revy turning or slipping out easily. So I decided it was time to find a clamping no rise. My next stop was an Check It Clamping No Rise (click for review). For those that do not know, the Check It is almost identical in design to the popular CCM No Rise. The Check It was a little taller than the New DeSignz No Rise but had the added benefit of locking down with the use of an Allen Key. This was great, I could lock the Check It to either loader and it did not move. Things were great.... until a football shaped paintball in the middle of a game at the PSP Orlando Open. The ball made it past the HALO neck, so the RIP Drive was of no use and I could not get the HALO off of my Impulse as it was clamped in tight. So there I was in the middle of a game with a football shaped paintball half in/half out of my marker and unable to do anything about it. Just to finish the story, I ended up turning the eye off on my Equalizer board and chopped the ball. I was then able to squeegee and keep playing. I got shot shortly after that, but we did win the game!! So clamping was good, but only to a point. Fortunately the guys at New DeSignz never stop reinventing the wheel. They took their awesome No Rise and modified it into a clamping No Rise. The best part is that it does not require any tools. Just turn the top counter clock wise to loosen, insert your loader and turn it clockwise to tighten. The secret to the gripping is the 4 o-rings on the inside. These allow the clamp to "dig in" and not damage the loader neck since the rubber o-rings can compress under pressure. The best part is that the NDZ No Rise is about 1/4" shorter than the Ckeck It. So far, the NDZ No Rise is the lowest rise I have had a chance to measure!! As always I was impressed that the New DeSignz Red matched almost perfect to the red in my Adrenalin Impulse and the milling on the New DeSignz Clamping No Rise is complimentary to the Adrenalin milling. So is has the Quest come to an end..... Yes. From my perspective the New DeSignz Clamping No Rise is the best No Rise tested by the Impulse FAQ! Let's try it again. This time I really slapped the HALO on to my AI with ND No Rise and it fit. Absolutely no sanding of the HALO's feed neck was needed AND I did not need any electrical tape or anything else to secure the HALO into the feed tube, it fit like a glove.
Installation: This is so easy....
UPDATE: All current Smart Parts markers use the same threads for feed tubes, so the New DeSignz Clamping No Rise will fit on the Impulse, SFT Shocker and Nerve. The New DeSignz Clamping No Rise will not fit on an Ion because of the Ions outer body. The Details
