New DeSignz High Flow Vertical (HFV)

From the Web site:

This is what people are looking for, why. It has multiple functions and without the worries of tapping.

  • Its an adapter so you can mount a ASA gadget grip to your marker.
  • Not only that, but it functions similar to the tape worm. It separates the 2 chambers and does not allow the gun to deplete the solenoid air reserve.
  • NO tapping required.
  • Just install the small air bleed screw and install the rest of the assembly and you will be on your way.
  • It is anodized per the above shown colors. Blue, Green, Purple, Gold, Silver and Black.
  • Once installed, you can dry fire the gun to clear paint, and it will cycle the bolt and not get held wide open to drain you air tank.
  • O-ring included.

Isolation modifications come in two different flavors, isolation design and flow restrictor design.   The Isolation design separates the air flow and feeds the valve and solenoid separately.   The flow restrictor design does not separate the solenoid from the valve, instead it restrict the valve from "sucking" air away from the solenoid.

I have stated before that for the greatest performance of your Impulse get an Isolation designed adapter.  The New DeSignz High Flow Vertical takes the Iso Mod to a new level.  Prior adapters required the user to tap (thread) the air passage connecting the valve to the solenoid air chamber.  Not any more, the High Flow Vertical has a revolutionary design that is so simple, I can not believe that no one thought of it before this.  They simply created a plug screw that has a "T" hole through the middle.  This new screw is also long enough that it plugs the hole connecting the Valve chamber and the solenoid air passage.  The top of the screw is not threaded, this means that you do not have to thread  (tap) the hole.

Installation of the New DeSignz HFV is simple.  You will need to have available/purchase the following parts in addition to purchasing the HFV:

  • Some loc-tite.  Not sure of the cost, I already had some and you should too.
  • Obviously you will also need your handy-dandy set of allen wrenches.  Again, something you should already own, but if not, now is the time to buy!!

Installation:

  1. Remove your current Vertical Adapter, gas-thru grip or macro line fitting.
  2. Remove the small plug screw located next to the hole from the recently vacated part from step 1.
  3. Apply a small amount of loc-tite to the plug screw that was included with your HFV.
  4. Screw the plug screw into the Imp until the bottom of the screw is flush with the Impulse body.  This screw can not be sticking out or it will effect the seal of the HFV.
  5. Using the new VA screw provided, install the HFV.
  6. You are done!!  Let your Impulse sit for a couple hours so the loc-tite can set.

Now that you've got this bad boy installed, what can you expect??  Faster cycling, smother cycling, and no bolt stick!!!  You will also possibly see that any problems with first shot drop-off will be reduced or eliminated.

I've come to realize an answer to a simple question, "How do you make something good, even better?"  Simple, ask New DeSignz to redesign/improve upon it!!

NOTE: Smart Parts stopped drilling the air transfer hold that connects the solenoid air passage to the valve from under the body.  Because of this change you can NOT use a HFV or AHF.  Please make sure you check your Impulse body before ordering one of these parts.
