Undertow bolt for the Impulse

From the Web site:

Our new bolt for the Impulse is revolutionary! Made of friction free delrin, its 5/16" shorter than our previous Impulse bolt, resting flush with the back of the marker. Our new face design (patent pending) puts air under as well as behind the ball, giving every shot a consistent rotation. Doing so gives you a more consistent shot and a much tighter shot pattern at longer ranges. Yes, you will notice a tighter shot group at 75 + feet. This new bolt is also very high flow. Testing shows a 12 FPS increase at the chrono over our previous delrin bolt. No more lubing, less wear on the marker, lower pressure/dwell, & less kick. This bolt does it all. Comes in white delrin OR you can have us color it in any color in a solid or fade pattern!

Comments

Leave it to a guy named Werm to come out with a bolt that changes the basic rules of paintball.  In the past it was easy to say that any two markers shooting the same velocity will project a paintball the same distance.  NOW this Werm guy makes a bolt that causes a slight back spin and allows the ball to travel a little further WITHOUT getting the lack of accuracy often seen with the Tippmann Flatline barrel.

Recently I mounted an Impulse in a vice and shot at a target that was approximately 100 feet away (give or take a foot).  With the correct paint to barrel match the Undertow has the same accuracy as any other bolt.  However when I changed out the freak back to 2 sizes bigger than what I was using, the Undertow bolt came alive.  The shot pattern remain tight and the trajectory appeared flatter, although I have no scientific test to validate the flatter trajectory.

Normally I like to provide scientific results to validate my testing.  The tests were done, the numbers were entered, and the computer ATE THE DAMN FILE!!!  Until I have a chance to retest the distance accuracy of the Undertow you will just have to take my word as a gentlemen that this bolt kicks ars!!
