VooDoo Delrin bolt for the Impulse

The first thing I noticed when I opened up the package was that the back end of the bolt has the Smart Parts logo, COOL!!  As I looked to the front of the bolt I saw the familiar 3 hole venturi design.  Like most of the other aftermarket bolts, the VooDoo bolt is made of Delrin.  Why does everyone love Delrin??  Two reasons, first no need to lube because it is friction free, which means no o-rings and second it's light, which as we know reduces kick and tends to increase efficiency.   When I got the VooDoo bolt next to the stock bolt I noticed something else, it was shorter.  Ruff guess it looked to be about 1/4" shorter.  When measured it turned out to be 5/16" shorter (good guess on my part!!)

When I put the VooDoo bolt in my Impulse I noticed where the missing 5/16" came into play, the back of the bolt was flush with the back of the Impulse, this means no more bolt to the mask while tucked into those tight spots.   Then it was off to the chrono.  After some minor adjustments, I saw an increase of almost 40fps over the stock bolt.  AWESOME!!  Accuracy was maintained and the joys of reduced kick from delrin were still experienced.

The Details

• SIZE: The VooDoo Delrin bolt is  5 3/8 inches long.  That works out to be 5/16 inches shorter than the Stock Impulse bolt.
• STYLE: The VooDoo Delrin bolt is a 3-hole venturi style design based on the stock bolt.  That is, when looking at the front of the bolt, it has one hole on the bottom and two holes on top.
• COLOR: The VooDoo Impulse bolt is only available in black.
• MSRP: Price is £25.53.  That is British Pounds, so the conversion to US Dollars can vary from day to day.  For comparison purposes it will average out to be about $37.00 US.  You will need to find a distributor in the US because ordering from England will cost you more in shipping than the price of the bolt.
